CPE Questions
Are all your CPE programs approved for RDs and DTRs?

Yes. Skelly Publishing is accredited as a CPE provider by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); therefore, ALL our CPE programs are automatically approved for continuing education for RDs and DTRs.
How do I complete my CPEs when I purchase a Skelly Publishing CPE program?
Skelly Publishing uses an online testing system (located at www.skellyed.com).  Each CPE program you purchase will include information on how to access and use our online testing system, as well as the CPE exam questions you'll need to answer.

Once you're ready to get your CPEs, simply log onto our testing site (at www.skellyed.com), and follow the directions to create an account.  Once you create your account, you'll need do the following three things:

1. complete and submit the online CPE exam
2. complete and submit the online Feedback Survey and Reporting Form
3. download and save your CPE Certificate of Completion (which you can access immediately after you've completed #1 and #2 above) for your records

That's it!  Happy learning!
How long do I have to complete a CPE program?
**All Skelly Publishing CPE programs expire 3 years from date of purchase. (You have 3 years to complete the CPE program once you purchase.)
Where can I find the suggested Learning Needs Codes and levels for a CPE program?
On each CPE program's main page, scroll to the bottom of the page.  Under the section titled 'Suggested Learning Codes and Additional Information', you will find Learning Needs Codes for that program.

**Please keep in mind: these are SUGGESTED Learning Needs Codes only.  CDR allows you to apply ANY Learning Need Code(s) to a given program if you believe it applies.  The same applies if there is a level (1, 2, 3) listed.
Can I use Skelly Publishing CPE programs toward my Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) continuing education recertification requirements?

Yes. The NCBDE (which certifies CDEs) states that any CPE provider accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is a Recognized Provider for CDE continuing education. Skelly Publishing is accredited as a CPE provider by CDR; therefore, we are automatically approved to provide continuing education to CDEs.
Further, the NCBDE states "Continuing Education must be applicable to diabetes. All subject matter on the Certification Examination Content Outline published in the 2011 Certification Examination Handbook for Diabetes Educators is considered applicable to diabetes." For more information on what is contained in the Content Outline, please click here and scroll down to the list of approved providers.
